London housing association wins awards
A housing association based in London has received two prestigious awards, it has emerged.
Gallions Housing Association was overall winner in the making partnerships work and leadership categories at the fourth annual London Excellence Awards, following praise for its strong management.
In addition, the housing association was commended for its partnership with Axis, which was appointed in 202 to manage Gallions’ maintenance and repairs services.

Tony Cotter, chief executive of Gallions, said: "We have worked hard over the past few years to engage with staff and work as a team to drive improvements forward."
He added that the award acts as "a fantastic indication" that the association is heading in the right direction.
In other news, it was recently revealed that New Progress Housing Association, which is based in the north-west of the country, was awarded the What We Are Proud Of prize at the northern regional finals of the National Housing Federation’s Neighbourhood awards ceremony.
