Genesis launches new London development

Genesis Housing Group has completed a new affordable housing scheme in north London, it has been revealed.

The Winton Court development is located in Islington and consists of 17 two-bedroom flats and six maisonettes.

Built on the former site of a basketball court, the scheme’s six maisonettes and four flats are available to rent, while the remaining properties can be bought on a shared ownership basis.

Pam Lockley, managing director of Genesis Housing Group’s PCHA subsidiary, said: "Winton Court is an excellent example of how Genesis and Islington are working so well together to produce excellent results."

She added that Genesis has a "considerable development programme across the south-east".

Opened by the mayor of Islington Stefan Kasprzyk, the affordable housing development received funding from the Housing Corporation.

Such news might interest those looking for jobs in housing.

It was recently revealed that Estuary Housing Association is to receive financial assistance from the Housing Corporation to help with the construction of affordable properties.
