Housing association wins NHF award

A housing association based in the north-west of England has won an award at a National Housing Federation (NHF) ceremony, it has been revealed.

New Progress Housing Association, which is a part of Progress Housing Group, won the What We Are Proud Of prize at the northern regional finals of NHF’s Neighbourhood awards ceremony.

The association received the accolade for its Foundations/Inn2 scheme which tackles levels of homelessness in Preston.

Such news could be of interest to those looking for jobs in housing.

Bernie Keenan, managing director for New Progress Housing Association, said: "This is a tremendous achievement by the staff and residents at the scheme."

He added that the award "shows very clearly how we can make a positive difference to people’s lives".

Now the housing association has been put forward into the final stage of the NHF awards scheme.

Last month, Gloucestershire-based housing association Fosseway Living was deemed by Quality Housing Services to be one of the ten top performing housing associations of over 75 organisations which it continually assesses.
