Sanctuary Housing in homes transfer moves

Sanctuary Housing has announced that more than 200 homes have been transferred to its property portfolio.

Under the stock transfer, the housing association has received homes from Plymouth city council following a period of consultation with both the local authority and residents who will be affected by the move.

Located on the city’s Radford estate, a total of 243 homes have been moved to the management of Sanctuary Housing.

In a ballot on the decision at the end of last year, some 75 per cent of respondents voted in favour of transferring to Sanctuary.

Such news may be of interest to those seeking jobs in housing.

Now the housing association is to start a £5.4 million renovation project on the estate which will see homes and local environment improved.

In other news, it was recently that the Genesis Housing Group had secured funding to assist with its plans to construct more than 4,000 homes by the end of this year.
