Inverclyde housing association plans new homes with grant
River Clyde Homes is set to benefit from a multimillion pound investment into housing, it has been revealed.
Following funding from the Housing Association Grant scheme, the Scottish housing association will receive some £11 million to improve housing across Inverclyde.
The money received is set to finance home improvements throughout the central Scottish district in towns including Greenock and Gourock, Inverclyde Now reports.
In addition, the grant will see new homes designed in Port Glasgow and Greenock’s East End, while poor-quality properties are to be demolished.
Karen Neary, chief executive of River Clyde Homes, said: "This investment is great news for the tenants of Inverclyde.
"It will help us deliver on key promises to tenants by providing significant improvements in housing quality, while making a lasting and meaningful impact on the long-term regeneration of our communities."
