Amber Valley Housing praised by Audit Commission
Amber Valley Housing Limited (AVHL) is providing its tenants with a "good" service, a new study shows.
In its latest report, the Audit Commission states that those working for the public sector body also having "promising" prospects for future improvement and as a result awarded it two stars out of a possible three.
The commission stated that the majority of the housing association’s properties have been improved to meet the government’s decent homes standard, in addition to tackling anti-social behaviour and providing services for vulnerable residents.
Such a report may well interest those seeking housing jobs, in addition to public sector leaders looking towards a regional recruitment portal to attract applicants.
Ann Bennett, lead housing inspector for the Audit Commission, said: "AVHL is providing good customer-focused services and performs strongly in key areas.
"It has made a number of significant service improvements over the last three years and has clear plans to improve further."
Earlier this month, the Audit Commission reported that People 1st, an arm’s length management organisation created by Slough borough council, is offering its tenants a "good" service.
